The exciting natural backdrop of the Dolomites and Lake Garda has remained unchanged; but we wished to give the Refuge an entirely new structure and we reopened it to enthusiastic response on 24th December 2006. We have conceived and created it with especial attention towards the environment: a completely wooden structure and exploitation of the climate with solar panels and a geothermal plant for heating.
The atmosphere is informal; the scent of cirmolo-wood and of the ancient beams impregnates every corner; tiny details lend warmth to the environment, making it welcoming and relaxing.
